Educational Qualification & EligibilityCandidates must hold a relevant academic degree, training qualification (B.Ed/D.El.Ed), and have passed the required teacher eligibility test (CTET/BTET/STET).
  • Class 1-5 (Primary): 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR Graduation with a 2-year D.El.Ed. Must have passed CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I.
  • Class 6-8 (Middle): Graduation with 2-year D.El.Ed, OR Graduation/Post-Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed. Must have passed CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II.
  • Class 9-10 (Secondary): Graduation or Post-Graduation with 50% marks in the relevant subject and B.Ed. Must have passed STET Paper-I.
  • Class 11-12 (Higher Secondary): Post-Graduation with 50% marks in the relevant subject and B.Ed. Must have passed STET Paper-II. (Note: B.Ed is not mandatory for Computer Science candidates).

Selection ProcessThe selection process is based entirely on a Written Examination (Objective Type CBT/OMR).
  • Phase 1: Preliminary Exam: A qualifying general studies paper (150 questions, 150 marks, 2 hours). It includes a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.
  • Phase 2: Main Exam: Candidates who clear the prelims will appear for the main exam. The main exam is also objective (150 marks, 2.5 hours for most levels) with a 1/3rd negative marking penalty.
